BOB is partnering with the Salvation Army in this year's Kettle Drive to raise funds for poor and needy families and individuals throughout The Bahamas. The bank has facilitated two kettle bell stations outside its Carmichael Road and Village Road branches since November 24th. Additionally, more than 20 BOB employees from entry level staff to senior management have committed to be bell ringers for the cause.
According to Major Lester Ferguson, Bahamas Divisional Commander, Salvation Army the internationally recognized Red Kettle during the Christmas Season symbolizes hope.
“For the Salvation Army Bahamas, our kettles help to raise funds to provide meals for those less fortunate individuals and families, toys and clothing for disadvantaged children, personal care products for the elderly and institutionalized and so much more,” he said.
Ingrid Rose Roberts, Steering Committee Member for BOB Volunteers said the bank embraces the opportunity to partner with the Salvation Army in this service to the community.
“I would like to thank all of the BOB staff who have come forward and enthusiastically dedicated their time and energy to this cause. We hope that through our collective efforts this Christmas and the coming year will be a bit brighter for many Bahamian residents,” she said.
