In recognition of the vital role of healthcare workers in the fight against COVID-19, Bank of The Bahamas Limited recently purchased and donated 600 items of Personal Protective Equipment to the Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre (SRC). The gift included 200 disposable medical body gowns, 200 K-95 masks and 200 PPE shoe covers.
While making the presentation to Tamara Davis, Deputy Hospital Administrator, SRC, Pedro Burrows, Senior Manager, Business Development commended the commitment and dedication of healthcare workers during the ongoing pandemic. “BOB is grateful to all of the doctors, nurses and other essential healthcare staff who put their lives on the line daily to help others, and with this gift, we hope to show our appreciation for all that you do,” Mr. Burrows said.
Accepting the PPE donation on behalf of Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre, Ms. Davis expressed gratitude to BOB for thinking of the Centre’s employees. She added that the gift will help to supplement existing supplies and ensure that SRC workers and patients are protected as they care for patients of the facility.
