Bank of The Bahamas and Olympic gold medalist Chris Brown have renewed their agreement for Chris to represent the bank’s BOB Express Suite of Products. A one year contract was recently signed by Chris and the Bank’s Executive Management at BOB’s head office on Shirley Street.
The new contract will see Brown continue as ambassador for the innovative product line that comprises three products: superfast BOB Express ATMS, the only local ATMs to offer immediate value for cash deposits; BOB Mobile Express, a credit card processing application for smart phones and BOB Express Online Banking.
During the signing BOB executive and senior management congratulated Chris on the success of the 2nd Chris Brown Bahamas Invitational stating that the BOB sponsored event was a moment for all Bahamians to be proud of and one that augurs well for track and field in The Bahamas and the region.
Hubert Edwards, BOB’s Chief Business Development Officer said the Bank has a very high level of respect for Chris and takes its longstanding relationship with the athlete very seriously.
“We want to attach ourselves to your longevity. We want our products to represent the type of appeal that you have. They’re fast and reliable and they’re here for the long haul. Those are all of the things which characterize you as an athlete so we are very proud that you have agreed to continue as ambassador for our BOB Express Suite of Products,” Mr. Edwards said.
Chris Brown said he was thankful for the opportunity and would do his best to continue to represent the BOB brand.
“Thank you for believing in me and thank you for the exposure that I’ve received. I’ve had the pleasure of having more than 75 persons who were here for the invitational come to me and say. “Hey I saw you on the Bank of The Bahamas Billboard.” People love it. They took pictures of it and tweeted it so it went viral and even people in Africa saw it. Thank you for helping me to continue to grow my brand. I will continue to do my best to make BOB proud,” Chris said.
Now that the second Chris Brown Bahamas Invitational is behind him Chris heads to Des Moines, Iowa for his next big US meet before taking on the European track and field circuit. He is laser-focused and knows that every step is leading him to his ultimate goal…to stand on the podium in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil to hear the Bahamian national anthem play and receive medals for both the 400 meters and the 4 x 400 meters men’s relay.
‘We wish you all the best for Rio. We know that when the fireman come he brings the fire and we are looking forward to top class performance,” said Hubert Edwards.
