BOB’s Cat Island branch recently observed its sixth anniversary of operations with a number of special events including a business reception, community sponsorships and an appreciation day for customers. Head Office representatives also travelled to Cat Island to attend the reception that was held at the branch in New Bight on June 4, 2014.
Nicole Holder, BOB’s Manager of Sales and Service told customers that with increasingly complex regulatory changes occurring globally, in the past year BOB decided to shift its focus from international expansion to local growth and has changed its vision statement to reflect this shift.
“Today as we celebrate the sixth anniversary of the establishment of Cat Island Branch, we are committed to becoming “the best and most respected financial enterprise in The Bahamas.” Service excellence, staff development and relationship building with personalized solutions for customers and innovative products and services will be the building blocks for our success,” Mrs. Holder said.
She invited customers to visit BOB’s new and recently launched corporate website for a current and comprehensive overview of products and services including personal and corporate banking solutions as well as private banking and trust services.
Letitia Brown, officer-in-charge of Cat Island Branch thanked customers for their business and predicted continued community development through partnership.
“We value and appreciate your business over the past six years and we look forward to strengthening this relationship. At Bank of the Bahamas Limited and particularly at Cat Island Branch we are here to serve. As the Bank continues to improve and find innovative solutions to meet your financial needs, together we expect to bring about positive change in our community and experience growth and development in Cat Island,” Ms. Brown said.
During the ceremony BOB presented a cheque in the amount of $1750 to sponsor the Battle of The Bands at the Rake and Scrape Festival. The Bank also promised support of $2000 to provide text books for disadvantaged children at Cat Island’s Old Bight Library.
