On Thursday June 25, 2015, “Golden Knight” and Olympic gold medalist Chris Brown extended his contract with Bank of The Bahamas for the third consecutive year to serve as the BOB Express ATM brand ambassador.  The signing took place at the Bank’s Carmichael Road branch.

When launched in 2013 BOB Express ATM was just the first of a suite of products designed by Bank of The Bahamas to be fast, convenient and accessible to customers.  BOB Express ATMs allow customers to transact more banking transactions with real time credit at the ATM than ever before.  As a result this eliminated the need to go in branch for certain transactions providing customers with enhanced flexibility and convenience in doing their banking. 

In commenting on the signing, Hubert Edwards, Deputy Managing Director said, “BOB views this as a very prestigious occasion.”  In expressing the Bank’s pleasure of signing with Chris Brown again he noted, “Chris is a person that people all around the world emulate.  He is always ready to go, ready to serve his country and a champion for national causes.  Chris demonstrates many of the values we embrace as a Bank.  It is important that we (BOB) and the business sector continue to support national athletes like Chris Brown.”

Just last month BOB launched its newest Express product, BOB Mobile Express, which combines a mobile card reader and processing package that provides users with the ability to accept credit card transactions on their smart phones or tablets.  BOB Mobile Express package allows vendors to expand their payment options, capitalize on every sales opportunity and minimize the risk of carrying cash.  BOB Mobile Express targets businesses that have moved beyond the confines of four walls – a recognition that business and business persons are now more than ever before mobile.

Chris expressed his delight in renewing the relationship with the Bahamian bank.  He sees his endorsement as a starting point of what more businesses should do to support Bahamian ambassadors such as himself.  He said, “Bank of The Bahamas was one of the first Bahamian entities to believe in me and for that I am loyal to the brand”.  Immediately following his contract renewal Chris posed for photographs and signed autographs for customer and adoring fans in the Carmichael Road branch.

BOB Express ATM and BOB Mobile Express are two of a suite of Express products the Bank has designed to create super convenient banking for the Bahamian public and to put innovative service at their fingertips.  Representatives from the bank have revealed that there will soon be a release of another exciting Express product developed to further enhance customers banking experience.
